Best customer service I've ever received at Starbucks. I can tell some of the employees have been there for awhile and love their jobs. They usually greet me with light and friendly conversation and if they mess up I hardly notice, but they offer to compensate with an extra free drink. Sometimes they slip in little deals for you if they like you. Every single one of them is so happy and friendly. In the summer when I used to get treat receipts, one of the employees let me keep my receipts to use again later that day. :) The atmosphere is cozy with great cafe music but if you're planning to work on something or study you'll have to catch them at a non-busy time. There are usually always people taking up the seats and sometimes you'll have to wait to get a seat. Wish it was a little bigger. Other than that, great customer service and great atmosphere!

I go to this starbucks occasionally. It's not my favorite. Kind of depends who is working. There is an older gentleman who has glasses (forgot his name ) who has worked there quite awhile. He is awesome, friendly and goes out of his way for customers. Everybody else is either unfriendly or just ok IMO. Drinks are usually done correctly, although I feel they make more mistakes then some other Starbucks. Drive thru tends to be very slow.

I started stopping by this location since I work in West Chicago twice a week now. It's located at a busy corner and I only hit it on my way back from work, when I'm headed east. I'm not really sure where the entrance is if you are headed west as there are many businesses in the area and not so many places to turn. The drive through is part of many driveways in the area and to exit you have to drive around. It's just not intuitive, at least in my driving perspective. The service I've had here is nothing fantastic. I order my coffee, they repeat it, I drive up and get it. I haven't had any big wait for it, I haven't had anything extra.

BEWARE: THIS STARBUCK'S LOCATION IN WEST CHICAGO BY MENARDS "overcharges" (and/or makes up their own prices) in comparison to OTHER STARBUCKS! Example: - TARGET STARBUCKS (2 miles further down North Ave): Short (SMALL) hot chocolate - $1.57 - STARBUCKS BY MENARD'S: Short (SMALL) hot chocolate - $2.65 (SAME SIZES!) - TARGET STARBUCKS: SMALL Passion Iced Tea - $2.09 - STARBUCKS BY MENARD'S: SMALL Passion Iced Tea - $3.18 * We have gone to both locations numerous times (thinking perhaps one store or the other either over-charged us or under-charged us on occasion), and the prices are without a doubt DIFFERENTLY PRICED. If it is like this for these two items, I can assume this can be across the board with the other menu items. BEWARE.

I always go through the drive thru and the staff moves very quickly so the wait isn't long at all. They are good about warming up your pastries and getting your drink right. If you go there often, they will remember what drink you normally get. There has been one time where they gave me a discount on my drink because I'm a regular. The staff here is amazing and you won't be disappointed.

I am an avid Starbucks junkie get my cup or two every day . The one thing I hate is long lines or when they give you someone else drink . Went through drive through and well you guessed it had the car behind me drink .. so don't you think that throws every car off .. the topper was I asked them to use my free drink reward and they charged my ap for the car drink behind me .. I guess that's a slap twice.. I can only go to a 2 star low because I am a fan of starbucks but wouldn't recommend going to this location .

Very friendly staff all the times I've been here. However, I totally agree with other reviews that they're slow slow slow slow! I go to school in St. Louis and whenever I am at this location, I always think how much slower they are in comparison! However, the staff is so friendly, it makes up for long waiting time. Over Christmas, I was buying coffee for my dad for Christmas and the barista was totally helpful and giving my suggestions based on what coffee he normally drinks. She even let me know I could get a free drink since I purchased a certain amount of coffee beans for him! Love that.

I can no longer go to this location. Did the dozen or so times that I stopped in to get a breakfast sandwich, and they were out keep me away? no. Maybe it was the somewhat helpful counter staff (when they are not chatting with friends)? no. Today I got an ice coffee, and was unable to insert my straw, since it was packed with ice! This is now the 4th straight visit where they made a mistake on my drink. Two times ago, I had to ask for my money back, since the barrista was throwing a tantrum behind the counter, each time I asked them to get my drink right. Cut your losses and shut this location down, or just change the name to Starluck's .....where you will be lucky to get a correct and fulfilled order!

This is my absolute favorite Starbucks in the area. The staff is super-friendly and accomodating, and I've never had an issue with a drink mistake. (Perhaps my orders aren't so high-maintenance?). I wrote a book a few years ago and had to get out of my home office to stay focused. I ended up writing about 2/3s of it here - and I even credited this store in my book acknowledgements. This place is like my home office away from my home office. :)

I had a great experience here. I've resorted to just plain coffee with cream so I can cool down the coffee and because sometimes the flavored drinks are too strong. I guess I was feeling like something fancy, so I asked to try a peppermint mocha but with less flavor shots, and asked her to leave room so I could add milk so it wouldn't be so hot. She told me that they are able to make it "140 instead of 160" degrees which I had no idea about, and she told me how many flavor shots to try, and it turned out AMAZING! I really appreciated that she made those suggestions and that she even said "medium" instead of "grande"- that made me more comfortable too! :) Great service!

Quick cup of coffee with a friend. The barista didn't say hello, was talking on her headset to her co-workers and never even made eye contact with us when we ordered. A bit of a bummer when you frequent such a big chain of coffee shops.

Coffee is good and the baristas are friendly but every time I go here it takes forever! Whether it's 6am or 4pm it still takes them at least 5 minutes to make my coffee. I have a lot of friends in the coffee business and know it shouldn't take that long so I don't go here often, unless I have the time. Too weird *Edit 1/28/12: Ok I am editing this because they have gotten faster, usually I am only waiting for a minute for two for my drink now. So yay for them!

i usually forego Starbux for the local shops but sometimes it's all you got, and on a hot day the Frappa's work a treat. Caramel frappa went down perfect on a 80 degree Mid March afternoon in chicago.w.t.f. ? We'll take what we can get weatherwise and this place aint all bad.

The setup of the actual store was pretty bad and just a simple plain coffee took a few minutes to get. When we finally got our drinks, we had to crowd around an understocked condiment table that was placed right in front of the door.
